Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) is taking over European distribution of the Graphistrength range of multiwall carbon nanotubes (CNT) produced by Arkema (Paris / France; www.arkema.com). The only exception will be the UK, where masterbatch producer Hubron Specialty (Manchester / UK; www.hubron.com) has already been named as the distribution partner for these products – see Plasteurope.com of 20.03.2009. This agreement supplements the close cooperation between Velox and Arkema on the „Oxpekk" range of high-performance polyketones produced by Arkema’s subsidiary Oxford Performance Materials (OPM, Enfield, Connecticut / USA; www.oxfordpm.com).

The product range to be offered by Velox currently comprises pure Graphistrength CNT and an extensive portfolio of masterbatches designed to facilitate incorporation of nanotubes into elastomers, thermoplastics, resins and waterborne solutions. Thanks to their good mechanical properties and conductivity, these products are suitable for a wide variety of applications including high-strength composites, electronic components, conductive coatings and electrode materials for batteries and fuel cells.
