DRÄXLMAIER
Automotive wiring site selected in Prishtina, Kosovo / Pilot plant to begin operations in August
Automotive supplier Dräxlmaier (Vilsbiburg / Germany, www.draexlmaier.de) has selected a new site for the production of electrical systems in Prishtina, Kosovo. The German company says the site will be set up in stages, and a pilot plant will begin operations in August 2008. The pilot plant will test the production of automotive electrical wiring systems with the help of a pilot team of 100 employees. If successful, 500 new jobs will be created in Prishtina by the end of 2009.
Dräxlmaier says it would be the first German company to set up production in the newly recognised independent state of Kosovo.
