Production starts at new facility in China
Inergy Automotive Systems (Paris / France; www.inergyautomotive.com), the Plastic Omnium and Solvay joint venture for the manufacture of plastic fuel tank systems, has begun production at its new unit in Wuhan, Hubei Province / China. The facility has started delivering fuel systems to Nissan and BMW plants in the country. China’s output of motor vehicles ranked the third in the world after Japan and the United States in 2007 with 8.88m units produced, a 22% annual increase, and Inergy said that it is looking for further opportunities in this fast growing market.
