2008 earnings estimate revised down
Huhtamaki (Espoo / Finland; www.huhtamaki.com) has revised down its earnings forecast and now expects 2008 EBIT to be below the 2007 level. The company said that it expected earnings to remain at the underlying level of EUR 136m in 2007. The revision is distributed mainly to current and anticipated high levels of raw material, energy and distribution costs. Shares in Huhtamaki fell more than 8% on the Helsinki Stock Exchange following the announcement. The interim report for the first six months of 2008 will be published on 18 July 2008.
