Sulo Environmental acquisition completed
Plastic Omnium (PO, Levallois / France; www.plasticomnium.com) has completed its acquisition of Sulo Environmental Technology, from Veolia Environnement (Paris / France; www.veoliaenvironnement.com), for EUR 142m – see Plasteurope.com of 01.08.2007. Sulo has 540 employees and last year reported operating profits of EUR 12.4m from sales of EUR 186m. The purchase includes Sulo subsidiary Envicomp, which designs information systems for identifying, weighing and lifting waste containers. The acquisition, part of PO’s restructuring, will allow the company to diversify into logistics, transport and storage and the production of metal containers for the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries.
