ARBURG
Chinese subsidiary in Shenzen / Two "Allrounder" machines demonstrated at opening
German injection moulding machinery manufacturer Arburg (Loßburg; www.arburg.com) officially opened its subsidiary at Shenzhen / South China, in November. The 500 m² unit, the company´s 20th subsidiary and its third in China, includes a testing centre, applications technology area and presentation facilities. Supported by the company´s existing Shanghai and Hong Kong subsidiaries, Arburg said the Shenzen facility will cater both to Western companies with production sites in China as well as to the emerging Chinese plastics industry, 90% of which is currently concentrated in South China.

Two high-tech "Allrounders" were demonstrated at the inauguration ceremony: a hydraulic Allrounder 420 C "Golden Edition" with a clamping force of 1,000 kN with a 290 injection unit, on which a precision in POM will be produced for use in the office machine sector, and an electric Allrounder 320 A 500-170. According to Arburg, the latter machine is very well suited to the Chinese market, which increasingly requires modular, individually adaptable injection moulding machines offering the best possible price/performance ratio.
