PU systems jv with Pearl Insulation in Dubai / Construction, oil and gas businesses targeted
Bayer MaterialScience (BMS, Leverkusen / Germany; www.bayermaterialscience.com) and Pearl Insulation Materials Industries (Dubai / United Arab Emirates; www.drfco.net) have established a polyurethane systems joint venture in Dubai under the strategic leadership of BMS. Expected to commence operation at the beginning of 2007, the jv will be integrated into the "BaySystems" network under the name BaySystems Pearl.
Pearl Insulation Materials Industries, a specialist in rigid polyurethane foam thermal insulation products, has been established in the Middle East for several years. Its managing director, Feroz Saleem, will also be managing director of the new venture with Bayer.
The new business will support customers in the construction and oil and gas extraction sectors, where rigid polyurethane foam is used on a large scale for thermal insulation.
