DECEUNINCK
Belgian profile manufacturer reports improved earnings / Thyssen Polymer to become Inoutic
Window profile manufacturer Deceuninck (Hooglede-Gits / Belgium; www.deceuninck.com) earned significantly more in 2005 than in the previous year – for provisional figures, see Plasteurope.com Web of 30.01.2006. With sales of EUR 643.7m (2004: EUR 582m), EBIT rose to EUR 30.7m (EUR 23m), while net earnings amounted to EUR 19m (EUR 9.9m). Net indebtedness rose by EUR 22m to EUR 184m, which the company attributes mainly to investments for the new "Zendow" profile generation. According to the business plan, indebtedness is to be reduced to EUR 100m by 2009. Sales are scheduled to grow by 5-10% in 2006, a figure that is backed by the very lively start to business in the first two months. EBIT, too, is budgeted to rise further.

Deceuninck is continuing its efforts to optimise its activities in America and Europe. For Romania and Spain, investments are planned for the expansion of warehouse space in 2006, explained Deceuninck spokesman Ludo Debever talking to PIE. The existing logistics centre in Coslada near Madrid will be replaced by a new building, also to be built near Madrid. The same is planned for Bucharest, although it is not yet clear whether the existing facility will be expanded or whether a new building will be put up elsewhere. The exact size of the investment has not yet been decided, said Debever.

In the meantime, the new name has been fixed for the German subsidiary. Thyssen Polymer (Bogen / Germany; www.thyssen-polymer.com), which was taken over by the Belgian company in mid-2003, will be called "Inoutic" from July 2007. The company announced this at the "Fensterbau/Frontale" trade fair in Nuremberg (March 22-25, 2006). Inoutic employs 660 people and has annual sales of EUR 160m.
