GRAMMER
Cost-cutting programme to be approved soon
The key talks between the management and employee representatives at the car supplier Grammer (Amberg / Germany; www.grammer.de) have been concluded. According to initial information, the employees will in future work 44 hours a week without any compensatory wage increases. In return, the company will dispense with any redundancies. Through the cost-cutting program, which still has to be finally approved, the company hopes to save EUR 40m by 2010. In the current year, Grammer is again aiming for EBIT in the range of EUR 40m.
