Sarnatech exit completed / Management buyout and sale to US injection mouding group
Sarna Kunststoff Holding AG (CH-6060 Sarnen; www.sarna.com) has sold Sarnatech Rolla AG (CH-2540 Grenchen) to the company´s management under Rudolf Freiermuth and Rolf Bucher, together with a third partner, head of development David Graf in a transaction backdated to 30 September 2002. The new owners intend to make the new microinjection moulding company, now trading as Rolla Micro-Synthetics AG, into a global market leader in the information technology, telecommunications and medical technology fields. Rolla had sales of some CHF 4m in 2001 with 20 employees.
In another move toward Sarna´s goal of focusing the group´s activities on the two divisions, Sarnafil (seals for building construction and civil engineering) and Sarnamotive (plastic parts for car interiors) – see Plasteurope.com 24, 2001– the holding has also sold the plastic moulded parts offshoot, Sarnatech AG, to Galt Industries, a US-based injection moulding holding company.
