TVK and Slovnaft merge petrochemicals
Hungarian polyolefins and petrochemicals group TVK (H-3581 Tiszaujvaros; www.tvk.hu) has merged its petrochemicals business with that of Slovakian petrochemical producer Slovnaft (SK-824 12 Bratislava; www.slovnaft.sk). This follows approval of the plans by Hungarian oil group MOL, which acquired Slovnaft in March 2003 and owns 44% of TVK. The new petrochemicals group started trading on 1 January 2004 under the aegis of Slovnaft.
