Strong Euro boosts Tupperware
Thanks to a strong euro, sales of US-based Tupperware Corporation (www.tupperware.com), Orlando, Florida, rose by 6% to USD 1.2 bn in 2003 against 2002. Adjusted for the currency influence, sales declined 4%. Net earnings plunged by nearly half to USD 48m (USD 90m) Mio USD. For 2004, the world's largest producer of plastics household goods expects a slight increase in sales. Marketing efforts will be stepped up in the company's key markets of the US, Germany und France. At the same time, the share of toll production is to be increased.
