UK initiative to develop greater use of composites
A GBP 30m (EUR 43.5m) network to support the production of light composite materials that can be used to benefit industries such as automotive, aerospace and healthcare has been launched in the UK. The National Composites Network (www.ncn-uk.co.uk) will bring together industry experts to share knowledge in composites across different industries and between companies. Also, it will help smaller companies source their R&D and access state-of-the-art technology. The network will operate through regional centres that specialise in particular areas of composites technology.
