KraussMaffei Berstorff (Hannover / Germany; www.berstorff.com), the extrusion division of plastics processing machinery producer KraussMaffei (KM, Munich / Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com), and Zeppelin Systems (Friedrichshafen / Germany; www.zeppelin.com) have formed a strategic partnership to build turnkey compounding plants for the production of engineering plastics.
The collaboration enhances the companies’ cooperation over a number of years in technical plastics compounding and accommodates changes in plant engineering for compounding plants. Announced at K 2013, the partnership can provide turnkey plants for the production of bulk materials such as polyolefins to chemical companies and plastic producers. In addition to compounding extruders and devices for storage, dosage and packing, the service includes approval planning, power and media supply as well as integration into existing plants.
