XENIA
Partnership with China's Jiejiayou / Launch of ultra-light composites
Italy’s Xenia Materials (Mussolente; www.xeniamaterials.com) has entered into a distribution agreement with China-based Jiejiayou (Shenzhen) Material Technology (Shenzhen, Guangdong). Under the terms of the partnership, Jiejiayou will distribute Xenia’s thermoplastic composites “Xecarb”, “Xebrid” and “Xeglass” in the People’s Republic.

The two companies participated in the “Chinaplas” (www.chinaplasonline.com) trade fair, which took place in person from 13-16 April 2021 (see Plasteurope.com of 20.04.2021).

Separately, Xenia has introduced a family of ultra-light composites developed entirely on “Pebax” thermoplastic elastomer. Its “Xelight” range is said to be characterised by significant lightness, great impact strength, especially at low temperatures, and features flexibility and high energy return. Xelight can be coloured and is also available in biocompatible grades. Xenia said the composites are a solution for footwear applications, particularly those used for sports activities.
