Injection moulding machine manufacturer Wittmann Battenfeld, member of the Wittmann Group (Vienna / Austria; www.wittmann-group.com) has recently opened a new facility just outside Bilbao in Etxebarri in northern Spain.

In a news release, the company mentioned a 50-year presence as a primary reason for expanding in Spain despite a rather dismal economic picture at the moment. Within the country, the company operates as a partner of processors, providing service and supplying a wide range of injection moulding machines as well as automation systems and peripheral equipment.

The new facility consists of an extensive warehouse, a well-equipped technical workshop as well as a showroom and offices and is headed by Ignacio Puyvelo.
