Wintec, the wholly-owned Chinese unit of Engel (Schwertberg / Austria; www.engelglobal.com), will begin selling its products in the US in May 2018, offering both hydraulic and electric injection moulding machines for standard applications. It will introduce its machines for the first time in the region at the "NPE 2018" plastics trade fair on 7-11 May in Orlando, Florida. Wintec is now expanding its distribution into the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Wintec is headquartered in Changzhou, Jiangsu / China, where it has a plant that opened in 2014. Machines that are designed and developed in Europe are produced there. In the four years of its existence, Wintec says it has firmly established the "Wintec" brand in Asia.
Wintec says there is a strong demand in the US for injection moulding machines for standard applications. Its machines are preferably used for high-volume, single-component injection moulding, which may not require any special technologies, yet still places high demands on quality and process consistency. They are delivered preconfigured, which guarantees a speedy start-up, the company says.
The hydraulic "t-win" series is available with clamping forces from 4, 500-17,200 kN and are equipped with "servowin" servo-hydraulics. All machine movements of the electric "e-win" series are servo-electric. With clamping forces from 500-2,800 kN, they are used across a wide range of applications. Both series are equipped with the "C2" control, which provides intuitive operation and offers flexibility for connection with various types of robots.
