Westlake Chemical (Houston, Texas / USA; www.westlake.com) has appointed Roger Kearns as executive vice president Vinyl Chemicals. He will report to Westlake president and CEO Albert Chao, and be responsible for the company's chlor-alkali, derivatives and PVC businesses in North America, Europe and Asia.
Kearns is leaving Solvay (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvay.com), where he had been a member of the executive committee since 2008. Here, he was responsible for the Belgian firm's Advanced Materials division.
