WAVIN
French agricultural pipe subsidiary sold to RYB
In a deal whose financial details were not disclosed, Dutch pipe manufacturer Wavin (Zwolle; www.wavin.com) announced that it has signed an agreement to sell Kulker (Sully-sur-Loire), a subsidiary of Wavin France, to competitor RYB (St Etienne de St Geoirs / France; www.ryb.fr). With revenues of about EUR 12m, Kulker’s 25 employees focus on distributing pipe systems to the agricultural sector.

Wavin said the divestitute would not only reduce complexity, but enable Wavin France to focus on its core activities, including water management solutions. The Dutch pipe manufacturer grew its Q1 2011 sales by 22% – see Plasteurope.com of 28.04.2011.
