WAVIN
Disposal of Finnish electronics business
Plastic pipe systems and solutions provider Wavin (Zwolle / The Netherlands; www.wavin.com) is to sell its non-core Finnish electronics activity to Indutrade (Kista / Sweden; www.indutrade.se). The business markets and sells measuring devices and signalling equipment for remote monitoring of fluids kept in separators or tanks. In 2006, the unit employed 35 people and had revenues of approximately EUR 6.5m. Wavin said that the divestment will enable it to further concentrate on the development of its core activities in Finland. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
