Italian plumbing products distributor acquired
Leading plastic pipe systems supplier Wavin (Zwolle / The Netherlands; www.wavin.com), has acquired family-owned water products distributor AFA (Notarescu / Italy; www.afa.it). With annual sales of EUR 10m, AFA is the exclusive distributor in Italy for polybutylene plumbing systems manufactured by Hepworth Building Products (Sheffield / UK; www.hepbp.demon.co.uk), which was acquired by Wavin in 2005 – see Plasteurope.com Web of 11.04.2005. AFA´s key clients are sanitary wholesalers and its acquisition further enhances Wavin´s position in the Italian hot and cold water sector.
