WAVIN
Italy: Plastic pipes and ducts joint venture
The new Gres Dalmineresine Wavin, a three-way partnership (35:35:30) of Societá del Gres, Italian leader in the field of stoneware and PVC drainage systems, Dalmine Resine, Italian market leader in PE water/gas distribution systems and Wavin (HQ: NL-8000 AD Zwolle) will integrate the Italian partners´ full range of systems for the control and maintenance of drainage systems and arc-welding PE pipe fittings for water/gas distribution systems with the sewer and utilities activities of the Dutch company, Europe´s largest manufacturer of plastic pipe.

The new company was established at the beginning of this year when Wavin contributed its division to the joint venture Gres Dalmineresine S.c.a.r.l. established in 1998 to exploit synergies between the two Italian companies. The enlarged jv sees its strengths in its ability to supply integrated solutions and systems.
