In February, Wanhua Chemical (Yantai, Shandong / China; www.whchem.com/en) formed a new business division, the Performance Chemicals Business Unit, combining its previous ADI (Aliphatic Diisocyanate) and Specialty Amines business units.

The Performance Chemicals Business Unit's portfolio includes ADI products (HDI, HDI adducts, HMDI, IPDI and H₆XDI), speciality amines (MDA, MDBA, H₁₂MDA, IPDA and PU catalysts), silicone and other chemicals (IP, MIBK, CDT). Together, the products serve a wide spectrum of industries, including wind power, coatings, elastomers, adhesives, automotive, medicine, pesticide, flavour, electronics, packaging and construction.

The new business division operates production plants in Ningbo, Yantai and the Czech Republic.
