Connector and automation technology specialist Wago (Minden / Germany; www.wago.de) has started building a new plant in Wróblowice / Poland. The facility will be comprised of two new production halls, with 6,000 m2 space each, as well as an administrative building. Construction works are expected to be completed in Q2 next year.

In building the new facility, the company’s Polish subsidiary, Wago Elwag (Wrocław; www.wago.pl), complements its existing manufacture of plastic connectors as well as components for electrical engineering, transportation and automation, carried out at its main country office in Wrocław. The new facility will create 200 additional jobs, lifting the company’s total workforce in Poland to 800. Wago’s global workforce comes to 5,600, of which about 1,800 are located at company headquarters in Minden.
