Change in top management at PVC specialist

On 1 September 2021, Christophe André is set to succeed Stefan Sommer as the head of PVC producer Vynova (Tessenderlo / Belgium; www.vynova-group.com). The 50-year-old Frenchman has studied engineering, economics and holds an MBA from French business school Insead. He has held various international management positions, including at specialty chemicals manufacturer Röhm and Haas. Most recently, André was group president of global thiochemicals activities at specialty chemicals company Arkema (Colombes / France; www.arkema.com).
His predecessor, Stefan Sommer, is to join Vynova’s parent company International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG, Luxembourg; www.ic-investors.com) as chairman of the supervisory board of Vynova Holding on 1 January 2022.
The resin maker said Sommer is to continue to represent the company in European PVC and plastics-related industry associations such as VinylPlus (Brussels / Belgium; www.vinylplus.eu), the European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers (ECVM, Brussels; www.pvc.org) and PlasticsEurope (Brussels; www.plasticseurope.org).
