Joint venture with Huaxiang starts Chinese mirror plant
Exterior automotive mirror manufacturer Visiocorp (Portchester / UK; www.visiocorp.com) – formerly Schefenacker – and Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic Co (NBHX, Ningbo, Zhejiang / China; www.nbhx.com.cn/EN/main.asp) have invested EUR 10m in the first, 15,000 m², manufacturing stage of their joint venture Ningbo Visiocorp Huaxiang Automotive Mirror Co (Xiangshan, Zhejiang / China).
The site, which opened at Xizhou, south of Shanghai, at the end of July, and employs 100 people, has its own development and distribution capacities. The portfolio will include exterior mirrors and fuel filler modules produced exclusively for the Chinese market.
