VINK
Sale of UK and Ireland plastics business to Robert Horne
Vink (Zeist / The Netherlands: www.vink.com) has sold its loss-making plastic distribution business in the UK and Ireland to paper merchant Robert Horne Group (Northampton / UK; www.roberthorne.co.uk). The business registered a turnover of approximately EUR 9m last year and has 25 employees, said Kendrion, Vink’s parent company.
Vink, which distributes semi-finished plastics to the sign, graphic and construction industry, is selling the business as part of plans to focus on the major European countries and supply chain optimisation. Dave Allen, Robert Horne’s MD, said the acquisition complements his company’s position as market leader in the graphic display industry. “We will continue to develop this market both by organic growth and possible future acquisitions,” he added.
