Rusplast to distribute products in CIS / Oil and gas sector important to company's PEEK polymer
Victrex Polymer Solutions (Thornton Cleveleys / UK; www.victrex.com) has announced that as of 1 June, Moscow-based polymer supplier Rusplast (www.rusplast.com) is now an official distributor for high-performance products including the company's PEEK polymer. They will serve as the point of contact in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries of the Confederation of Independent States (CIS).
According to Steffen Germer, a distribution manager at Victrex, “[They are] one of the few distributors in the region with experience in high-performance polymers. The company not only offers high-quality logistics services, but also functions as a solution provider, advising industrial customers on engineering plastics applications." Another important aspect for Victrex is the significance of having a presence within Russia.
“Specifically, the oil and gas sector is important because the company’s reliable, wear-resistant material is able to easily withstand the high temperatures and pressures present in these aggressive environments, "explained Germer.
The Rusplast CIS client list includes some heavy hitters operating in the automotive (GM-AvtoVAZ, Renault), chemical, energy, electronics and consumer goods sectors. In addition, they also have contacts to Kamaz (heavy-duty vehicles), Rusal (aluminium), Rosneft, TNK-BP (mineral oil), Rusnano (nanotechnology), Bosch, Indesit and Siemens (electronics and electrical equipment).
