BOPP films: Sales office in Germany
Having started up another stretching unit and a third metallising facility in the Italian town of Potenza in autumn 1997, Vibac SpA (Strada Ticineto, Salita S. Salvatore, I-15040 Ticineto, AL) is now one of the leading producers of BOPP films. European capacity is 80,000 t/y. With its capacity of 12,000 t/y, the company also regards itself as the market leader for metallised BOPP film. In addition, the films are also manufactured in facilities in the USA and Canada, with a total capacity of 67,000 t/y. As part of this move to expand capacity, the company has opened its own sales office under the name Vibac (Deutschland) GmbH (Spaldingstr. 74, D-20097 Hamburg) in the strategically important market of Germany.
