Packaging and label specialist CTI Invest (Traun / Austria) has acquired the Italian in-mould labelling company Viappiani Printing (Milan; www.viappiani.it). The purchase is part of CTI Invest’s goal of becoming an international supplier to the industry and complements the group’s existing production units in Canada, Spain, Columbia and Germany.

Viappiani Printing’s portfolio includes labels for food and beverage containers as well as the cosmetic and cleaning industry. Commenting on the acquisition, Girgio Viappiani said that “handing over a family business involves a lot of emotions and thought regarding its future. I am sure that the CTI Group will be able to offer Viappiani Printing continuity and further growth opportunities.”
