Long-time Dow manager Adriano Alfani has been the new CEO of Versalis (Milan / Italy; www.versalis.eni.com) since the beginning of 2021. As the successor to Daniele Ferrari, who is leaving the company for an unknown destination, Alfani returns to Versalis and its parent company Eni, where his career began in marketing. Since then, the chemical engineer has held various management positions at Dow, most recently as senior global business director and strategy director, and global business director for polyurethanes.

In other company news, Versalis cannot currently fulfil all its ABS delivery agreements due to a force majeure at an ACN supplier (see Plasteurope.com of 21.12.2020).
