Expansion of production plant in France / New thermoforming machine for large formats
French thermoforming company Vercors (Loriol-sur-Drôme; www.vercors-thermoformage.fr) has tripled its production area and invested in a new thermoforming machine for large-size formats at its plant in Loriol-sur-Drôme. Vercors' production area expansion has been completed and now has 4,800 m² for the handling, assembly and finishing of thermoformed parts, as well as office space.
Vercors also recently commissioned its new Geiss (Seßlach / Germany; www.geiss-ttt.com) thermoforming machine, which is capable of producing parts with dimensions up to 3,500 mm x 2,400 mm and 1,000 mm thickness. These parts will be for sectors including the automotive, medical and industrial markets. The French company says this machine is one of the largest in western Europe.
Founded in 1968, Vercors generates an annual turnover of around EUR 2.8m. The company employs 22 people at two sites in France.
