Window and skylight producer Velux (Horshom / Denmark; www.velux.com) plans to concentrate its plastics production at fewer factories, including a facility in Gniezno / Poland. It is to cease production of plastics components, such as strippings and add-on parts, in Thyregod / Denmark, although window production at the plant will continue. The company also plans to cease production of wooden windows in Russia in response to economic developments in the country. The plant in Rostov does not have its own plastics processing activities.

Overall, 83 employees in Russia and 65 employees in Thyregod will be affected by the planned changes, the company said.
