German distributor Velox(Hamburg; www.velox.com) has announced a distribution partnership with speciality chemicals producer Ashland (Dublin, Ohio / USA; www.ashland.com). Effective 12 December 2018, the agreement covers Ashland's complete portfolio in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. This is an extension of the two companies' partnership in France – see Plasteurope.com of 28.06.2018. Ashland's products include unsaturated polyester resins, gelcoats, epoxy vinyl ester resins, fire retardant resins, speciality resins and low profile additives.

The 100% acquisition of Velox by competitor IMCD (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.imcdgroup.com) was completed in late September for an undisclosed amount – see Plasteurope.com of 31.08.2018. Velox focuses on the distribution of specialities for the plastics, composites and additives industries, among others.
