VELOX
Distributing MSM Poly's “Anobex” AMAC resins / Replacement for Ineos' recently discontinued “Barex” portfolio
German distributor Velox (Hamburg; www.velox.com) has entered into an agreement with MSM Poly (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.msmpoly.com) to sell the latter’s acrylonitrile methyl acrylate copolymer (AMAC) latex resins across Europe. Sold under the “Anobex” brand name, the US group is currently in the process of ramping up output of the family, which was designed as a replacement for “Barex”. Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) ceased production of the latter in September (see Plasteurope.com of 26.09.2016), after failing to reach a technology transfer agreement with MSM Poly.
MSM Poly has already made initial pilot lots available to customers, and intends to launch full commercial production of Anobex in Q4 2017. By February next year, qualification runs from anywhere between 1-5 t will be made available to customers, the company added.
