VELOX
Heat stabiliser distribution arrangement with OKA-Tec
Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) has entered into a partnership with additives producer OKA-Tec (Bönen / Germany; www.oka-tec.com) and in March started marketing the latter’s heat stabilisers in Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Israel. The agreement covers OKA-Tec’s “Okabest” and “Okaflex” stabiliser families, used against long-term heat ageing and hydrolysis and to ensure resistance against chemicals.

The Bönen-based additives producer said the two product families have solved common problems associated with CU-containing heat stabilisation, including staining, E&E and heavy metal issue, adding that the grades can be used across a wide range of polyamide applications. OKA-Tec specialises in the development of antioxidants and stabilisers for PA and PP grades used in automotive and E&E applications.
