Thompson tapped as MD for UK, Europe

UK-based Vanden Recycling (Lisburn; www.vandenrecycling.com) has announced the appointment of Kevin Thompson to its newly created position of managing director for the UK and Europe. Thompson has a history of working in industrial distribution and joined the company as a senior advisor in 2022.
Thompson’s appointment brings UK and European operations at Vanden under one leadership umbrella for the first time. “It also complements the 20 new appointments Vanden made to its UK and European teams across various departments in 2022,” the company said.
David Wilson, the company’s previous MD for the UK, will be taking on the role of director of compliance.

With its new leadership, the company plans to boost its plastics recycling activities in the European market, especially for processing and trading capacity. Vanden said it offers a wide range of recycled resins derived from post-consumer and post-industrial waste, namely recycled HDPE, LDPE, PET, and ABS.
