VAMP TECH
Introducing “Vampamid” 6 2028 V2/U polyamide 6 compound for public transportation applications
Vamp Tech (Busnago / Italy; www.vamptech.com) has introduced “Vampamid” 6 2028 V2/U, a PA 6 compound with 20% glass fibre contents for use in furniture for trains and buses. The material is characterised by easy processability through injection moulding, and thanks to its good fluidity it is also suitable for large components. Its mechanical properties include rigidity and impact strength even at low temperatures, Vamp Tech said.

Vampamid 6 2028 V2/U complies with the flammability requirements of UL 94, and also meets the German train standard DIN 5510-2 as well as America’s Docket 90 A/ASTM E 162 flammability test and Docket 90 A/ASTM E 662 smoke density standard. It is available in several bright or pastel colours.
