Growth targeted through European reorganisation
Uponor (Vantaa / Finland; www.uponor.com) has reorganised its European housing solutions operations by separating the sales & marketing and supply chain functions. The plastic pipe manufacturer said the new structure is aimed at improving the utilisation of growth opportunities and increasing operational efficiencies and transparency.
From 1 October, the European region will comprise two sales & marketing organisations: North, South & West Europe and Central & Eastern Europe. The new supply chain organisation will be in charge of all production, warehousing, logistics and sourcing activities in Europe.
The reorganisation will involve the following key personnel changes:
- Fernando Roses, currently EVP (executive vice president), Uponor South West, will lead the North, South & West Europe sales and marketing organisation.
- Heiko Folgmann, currently EVP, Uponor East & International, will lead the central and eastern Europe sales and marketing organisation.
- Sebastian Bondestam will head the european supply chain organisation and will also continue to be responsible for global supply chain development.
- Georg von Graevenitz, currently EVP, Uponor Nordic, will be responsible for facilitating the organisational changes. He will also retain responsibility for the Nordic infrastructure business and will continue to lead the marketing group.
Uponor said the changes do not involve the Nordic or North American businesses.
