New plant in Poland / DEM 6.8m investments
Uponor Hausabflußtechnik GmbH (PO Box 1261, D-49683 Emstek) has completed a new plastic pipe system plant in southwestern Poland. The 100% subsidiary, Magnaplast S.p.zoo. (Kolonia 69, PL-68214 Sieniawa Zarska), manufactures and distributes domestic waste pipes and sewage system pipes exclusively for the Polish and East European markets. The plant facilities include a 2,600 m² production building and a 1,875 m² warehouse. Total investment so far has been DEM 6.8m. In the first phase of development, the plant employs 35.
Uponor Hausabflußtechnik is a joint venture of the internationally represented Finnish pipe manufacturer Uponor and the mid-sized family-owned company Gebr. Ostendorf Kunststoffe GmbH & Co KG (D-49377 Vechta). It produces "Uponal HT" domestic waste pipes, "Uponal KG" sewage system pipes, "Uponal dB" sound insulating pipes and the "Uponal SC" multifunctional shaft. The company received its DIN ISO 9002 certification in January 1995.
