ULTRAPOLYMERS
Distribution of three Styrolution ABS grades in Germany
Ultrapolymers Deutschland (Augsburg / Germany; www.ultrapolymers.de) has started distributing three “Terluran” ABS grades on behalf of styrenics producer Styrolution (Frankfurt / Germany; www.styrolution.com). The grades are:
- "Terluran GP-22", an injection moulding grade with high resistance to impact and heat distortion. It is available in natural and black.
- "Terluran GP-35", an injection moulding grade with easy-flow properties. Suitable for parts with low wall thickness and long flow paths, it is also available in natural and black.
- High-impact grade "Terluran HI-10" natural, suitable for injection moulding and extrusion.
Applications for the materials include domestic appliances, toys and other parts requiring high surface quality and high gloss, Ultrapolymers says. The natural colour versions can be self-coloured by the processor.
Ultrapolymers already distributes other styrenic polymers for Styrolution, which is a 50:50 joint venture between BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) and Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) and has recently reorganised the whole product portfolio – see Plasteurope.com of 17.10.2012.
