India's largest multinational flexible packaging maker to build new plant in Hungary

Uflex (Noida, Uttar Pradesh / India; www.flexfilm.com) is investing more than EUR 70m in a new plant it will build in Hungary, its second facility in Europe. The Hungarian government will contribute EUR 8.7m in funding.
The factory in Rétság will produce a new type of foil from 2020 and create 170 new jobs. At full capacity, Uflex will be able to supply European customers 50,000 t/y of film products.
In Europe, Uflex has another facility in Poland. It houses an 8.7 m wide BOPET film line that runs at 500 m/min and can produce 30,000 t/y of film supplemented by a plasma enhanced high-barrier metalliser that can produce 10,800 t/y of metallised film.
