Indian film manufacturer plans to build new facility in Poland
Uflex (Gautam Budh Nagar / India; www.polyplex.com) subsidiary Flex Middle East (Dubai / United Arab Emirates; www.flexfilm.com) is planning to build a new polyester film plant in Wrzesnia / Poland at an investment cost of USD 80m (about EUR 60m). Scheduled to start up in June 2012, output of the 30,000 t/y plant is to supply customers in Europe and Russia.
Uflex already operates production lines in India, Egypt, Dubai and Mexico and has a total of 253,000 t/y of capacity at its disposal. The Indian film manufacturer also recently announced plans to raise capacities in Mexico and Egypt this year – see Plasteurope.com of 18.01.2011. Uflex president R.K. Jain hopes to raise total group capacity to 383,000 t/y in 2012.
