Polyethylene film manufacturer Trioplast (Smålandsstenar / Sweden; www.trioplast.com) has expanded its portfolio of sustainable products with the launch of a manual stretch film made from 75% recycled material. The film contains a minimum of 51% recycled material from post-consumer recycled (PCR) sources.

The new film joins the company’s “Trioloop” line of products, which are based on recycled plastic. Trioplast also offers its “Triogreen” line based on renewable raw materials and its “Triolean” line that provides lower material consumption with the same or increased performance. Last year the company launched a PCR-based agricultural stretch film, which it says is a world first. Trioplast adds that the use of PCR material in a stretch film is a ground-breaking step in transitioning transport packaging into a circular economy.
