US packaging specialist TricorBraun (St Louis; www.tricorbraun.com) has hit the acquisition trail at home and overseas, expanding its presence in the flexible, glass, and plastic packaging markets.
The company has agreed to buy US-based PBFY (Brea, California; www.pbfy.com), one of the largest flexible packaging distributors in North America, from retail and promotional packaging supplier Pacific Western Sales (Brea). Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Court Carruthers, president and CEO of TricorBraun, said: “PBFY is an important addition to our industry-leading flexible packaging offerings, enabling us to provide customers with expanded services and supply chain options.” PBFY is to operate as a TricorBraun company, and then be integrated with TricorBraun Flex after a transition.
TricorBraun also announced expanding its presence in Australia by buying PB Packaging (www.pbpackaging.com.au) from local parent Pro-Pac Packaging (Melbourne; www.ppgaust.com.au). The deal is expected to complete by mid-2022, and terms were not revealed.
“The PB Packaging team’s dedication to innovation, quality, and exceptional customer service make them an ideal fit,” Carruthers said. “We are pleased to welcome PB Packaging to the TricorBraun family, and we look forward to investing in its continued growth.”
