Trexel (Woburn, Massachusetts / USA; www.trexel.com) has entered into a strategic partnership with tool maker Proper Group International (Warren, Michigan / USA; www.propergroupintl.com), the two companies announced during “K 2010”.

The inventor of the “MuCell” foaming process plans to build an R&D centre in Warren. Trexel CEO Steve Braig said his company plans to install systems onto several injection moulding machines and focus its research and presentations on automotive customers. He added that Trexel is also talking to several other potential partners in Europe and Asia and expects to announce the formation of additional cooperations in the near future.

In August, KraussMaffei (KM, Munich / Germany; www.krausmaffei.com) had entered into a cooperation with Proper for turnkey solutions in PU processing – see Plasteurope.com of 19.08.2010.
