In order to grow its “TreoPore” microporous separator membrane business, German BOPP film specialist Treofan (Raunheim; www.treofan.com) has set up a completely new business unit to oversee these activities. The new business will be headed by Mark Neville, who joined Treofan from Owens Corning Composites Solutions. In his new capacity as executive vice president and executive committee member, Neville will be reporting directly to group CEO Peter Vanacker.

“TreoPore” microporous films can significantly improve both the performance and service of lithium-ion batteries and ultracapacitors, Treofan said, adding that both applications will play an increasingly important role in electromobility and wind power.
