Swedish group Trelleborg (Trelleborg; www.trelleborg.com) has finalised the divestment of its activities in Sweden and Estonia that develop and manufacture moulded elastomer and polyurethane components. This is evidently part of the restructuring the company announced in late 2019 (see Plasteurope.com of 10.12.2019).
The current management is acquiring the operations, which generated annual sales of around SEK 250m (just under EUR 23m) in 2019 according to CFO Ulf Berghult. The transaction closed on 22 April 2020 and is expected to have a “minor positive impact” on Trelleborg’s net profit.
