Acquisition of French industrial hose company / CMPP with 750 employees
The Swedish Trelleborg Group (S-23 181 Trelleborg) has acquired the CMPP subsidiary (B.P. 2, F-63018 Clermont-Ferrand) from Caoutchouc Manufacturé et Plastiques (CMP) (143 bis rue Yves le Coz, F-78005 Versailles) which is part of the Michelin Group. The purchase for an undisclosed sum, will significantly increase Trelleborg's industrial hose business which had a 1995 turnover of SEK 725m. The company currently has manufacturing facilities for industrial hose in Trelleborg, Sweden and in Ontario, Canada. CMPP has net sales of approximately FF 450m, the bulk of it being in elastomer-based industrial hose, and has about 750 employees.
