Dutch injection moulder Rompa establishes global joint venture with US-based TransNav
On 1 January 2015, Rompa Group (Tilburg / The Netherlands; www.rompagroup.com) established a joint venture with TransNav (New Baltimore, Michigan / USA; www.transnav.com). TransRompa will allow the two companies to engage in injection moulding, thermoforming and assembly on three continents – Europe, Asia and North America. The jv has reportedly already commenced two projects, one at Rompa’s plant in the Czech Republic, and the other at TransNav’s facility in Mexico.

Founded in Montreal / Canada in 1981, TransNav was acquired by Dutch immigrant family Vreeken in 1983. The tool manufacturer and injection moulder operates three sites in the US and Mexico as well as strategic partnerships in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Over the course of the past few years, Rompa has closed all of its production sites in the Netherlands and moved manufacturing to the Czech Republic, China and the US.
